CloudSisters is looking for a Back-End Developer to help build and enhance our web applications. In this role, you'll work on front-end development, creating intuitive user experiences and maintaining robust, efficient systems. Collaborate with a skilled team in Destelbergen (Heusden) and contribute to exciting projects that make a difference.

What Will You Do?

Buckle up, because you'll be:

  • Crafting scalable back-end architectures that power seamless user experiences across our platforms.
  • Building and optimizing APIs using Node.js, Python, or Directus to ensure top-notch performance and reliability.
  • Integrating databases and ensuring efficient data flow using technologies like PostgreSQL or DynamoDB.
  • Collaborating with front-end developers, designers and other stakeholders to deliver impactful, end-to-end solutions.
  • Implementing robust testing strategies to keep our systems secure and bug-free.
  • Enhancing application performance, troubleshooting issues and optimizing codebases for speed and scalability.
  • Staying ahead of the curve by adopting the latest frameworks, tools and best practices in back-end development.
     

Who are you?

Let's see:

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent practical experience in software development.
  • You have proven experience developing back-end systems using languages like Node.js, Python, or Directus.
  • Proficiency in working with RESTful APIs (bonus if you’re familiar with FastAPI!).
  • You’ve mastered database design and management, whether it’s relational (e.g., PostgreSQL) or non-relational (e.g. DynamoDB).
  • Experience with cloud services such as AWS and Azure is a major advantage.
  • You have an eye for clean, maintainable code and live by best practices in software engineering.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in fast-paced environments (chaos doesn’t scare you, it fuels you).
  • You're willing to work in a hybrid setup and be present at the office an average of three days per week.
  • You're proficient in both Dutch and English.
  • You’re a team player, passionate about collaborating, learning and levelling up your skills.
